RV Books: The Milepost guide to Alaska
Recommended by the RV Book Store as an essential guidebook for RV or auto travelers who are headed to Alaska, the Yukon Territory, British Columbia, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. They state that the first edition printed in 1949 was only 72 pages long. At that point there was only 1,000 miles of connected road throughout Alaska. Today, The Milepost has grown into a fully-colored book with 800 pages and 300 color photos, including lots of attractions, activities and services stretching throughout the 88 highway and twisty Alaskan roads, Yukon Territory and parts of Western Canada. A popular feature of the book is its fold-out Plan-A-Trip Map.
