Dutch Oven Meatloaf recipe-no need to plug your nose

In life there are often multiple meanings associated with words and this is a prime example of one. Today’s recipe will cover how to cook a meatloaf dish with a Dutch oven. For the longest time I have had my own definition of a Dutch oven and trust me it had nothing to do with cooking so let’s start with the freedictionary.com definition:

Dutch oven

1. A large, heavy pot or kettle, usually of cast iron and with a tight lid, used for slow cooking.

2. A metal utensil open on one side and equipped with shelves, placed before an open fire for baking or roasting food.

3. A wall oven in which food is baked by means of preheated brick walls.

My definition has to do with sheets and the unlawful act of trapping some not so pleasant fumes that is also a definition supported by urban dictionary.com. Now that we have that part covered check out this great Meatloaf recipe utilizing a Dutch Oven:

1 1/2  lb  Ground beef

3/4  cup  Quick oats

1/4  tsp  Dry mustard

1/4  cup  Bell pepper
